Roads of Fantasy is a simple arcade game in which you control a rolling ball through an obstacle course while attempting not to fall off the playfield and avoiding spinning prickles.
It sounds quite captivating and interesting, and it would have been so if it weren’t for all the bugs and glitches that affect this game. Roads of Fantasy is almost unplayable because of all the visual glitches, and this unfortunate situation is probably explained by the fact that this game is a rather old and outdated one, never meant to be run on modern Windows systems like Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Another thing that bugged me about this game is the fact that it cannot be played in windowed mode, and I really can’t stand full screen-only games anymore since keeping an eye on various desktop notifications at all time is a thing I’m not willing to give up on.
I wish there were some nice things to say about this game too, but there aren’t. Even if it wasn’t plagued by the visual bugs and glitches, it still wouldn’t have been a very appealing game. Its gameplay is too simple too, the graphics are rather modest, and the soundtrack is pretty tedious.
Cutting long story short, my advice is to stay away from this game. There are big chances it will be buggy on your system too, and anyway, you won’t miss much by not playing it.
